Bangkok, Thailand – SWITCH announced that its G-Beast electric motorcycle has been officially selected under Bangkok’s Green Win EV Program, a city-backed initiative aimed at accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles within the motorcycle taxi sector.
The program was formally launched in the presence of Chadchart Sittipunt, highlighting the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s commitment to tackling urban air pollution and noise through practical, deployable mobility solutions.
Designed to promote the transition from conventional gasoline-powered motorcycles to electric alternatives, the Green Win EV Program focuses on one of the city’s most visible and heavily utilized transport segments: motorcycle taxis. By electrifying this fleet, city officials aim to reduce PM 2.5 particulate emissions, lower carbon output, and decrease street-level noise pollution across Bangkok.
SWITCH’s G-Beast was selected as part of the initiative due to its suitability for high-frequency urban use, where reliability, operating cost efficiency, and environmental performance are critical. Electric motorcycles offer riders the potential for lower fuel and maintenance expenses, while contributing to improved air quality for residents and commuters.
Motorcycle taxis play a central role in Bangkok’s transport ecosystem, providing first- and last-mile connectivity throughout the city’s dense neighborhoods. Transitioning this segment to electric mobility is expected to deliver measurable environmental benefits while supporting broader national and municipal sustainability goals.
The Green Win EV Program represents a collaborative step forward in Thailand’s ongoing efforts to modernize urban transportation infrastructure and accelerate the shift toward cleaner mobility solutions.
